Highgrade Motor Star Award:
This weeks Highgrade Motors Star Award goes to Dainite Sports for their 8-2 defeat of Wellingborough Raffertys in their Rothenberger Tools Div 3 fixture.

 

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE FA JUNIOR CUP Semi Final (northants comb teams in bold)

Rothwell Corinthians of the UCL hosted Kislingbury and despite a valiant effort for the away team it was the more senior side that went through eventual 2-1 winners.

 

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE FA LOWER JUNIOR CUP Quarter Final (northants comb teams in bold)

Punjab United took on Peterborough and District league club; Peterborough Castor & Ailsworth.   A Michael Chong hat-trick sealed the game and put Punjab firmly into the quarter finals against fellow Combination team Great Doddington as they won 3-1.

 

Russell Roofing Division One Cup Round 2

Weldon United played host to Corby Phoenix in this second round fixture, a Steve Millar brace and one from Andy Kyle saw Phoenix just edge it 3-2.
 

 

Keystone Roofing Supplies Division Two Cup Round 2

Lee Warman scored for the hosts as Wollaston Victoria entertained Gretton, but it was the visiting side that went through to the next round as a McAlindon brace sealed the game 2-1.


 

Rothenberger Tools Division Three Cup Round 2

In the second round of the Div 3 cup Weavers Old Boys got a goal through Michael Davis, but a Paul Kelly brace and one a piece for Lee Pettigrew and Nathan Bailey ensured Corby Danesholme Vikings made an easy passage into round 3 as the game finished 4-1.
 

Reserve Division Two Cup Round 2

Kettering Orchard Park Res edged into the next round with a 3-2 defeat of Earls Barton United Res, their goals came from Collins, Danny Darker and Blane Chester.

Welford Victoria Res made light work of Crick Athletic Res despite the away side getting three goals, Alex Broadbent got a hat-trick and Charlie Hampson a brace, the other goals came from Wes Hague and Andrew King 7-3.

 

Weldon Skip Hire Premier Division

Reigning champions Harpole moved in to top place with a convincing 8-1 drubbing of Brixworth All Saints, Dan Surridge and Dave Cave got a brace each, whilst Scott Mills, Elliott Dove and Carl Barrick all added efforts, the final goal was an OG.

Milton remained in third place as they were only able to manage a draw against second bottom club Stanion United, Callum Snooks scored for Milton and Ryan Hall got the Stanion goal 1-1.

Moulton moved up a spot as a result of their game against Corby Madisons, Nick Worley (2) and Craig Cassidy got their goals in a 3-1 victory.

Ravensthorpe LB won 1-0 over Heyford Athletic with a goal for Alex Bond.

Andy Priest scored for Roade a they drew 1-1 with Corby Pegasus.

Finally; Whitefield Norpol narrowly beat Kettering Nomads 3-2 with goals for Chris Kirby (2) and Jeremy Smith.



Russell Roofing Division One

Adam and Lee Bushell got one a piece in a Bective Wanderers 2-1 defeat of James King Blisworth.

It was all square and a point a piece as Earls Barton United and Wootton St George were unable to break the deadlock 0-0.

Alex McMillan and M Kierle scored as Harborough Town held onto second spot with a 2-0 win over Corby Kingfisher Athletic.

Welford Victoria were robbed of any points as Rob Mobsby and Rob Thompson scored in a 2-0 victory that keeps Medbourne top.

Stanwick Rovers went goal crazy as they played hosts to Crick Athletic, Ellwood got four and Carl Bedford got a hat-trick, Tony Simms added another as the game finished 8-1.


Keystone Roofing Supplies Division Two

Burton United drew 1-1 with Wellingborough Ranelagh; J Milne got the Burton goal whilst Joseph Judge got the away goal.

Finedon Volta moved up into top place with a 2-1 triumph over Islip United, Leigh Chapman and John tarry got the Finedon goals whilst Alex Harrison scored for Islip.

Gavin Marks scored the only goal for Ringstead Rangers as they went down 5-1 against Cold Ashby Rovers.

Matt Ingram, Eddie Phelan and Rob Punch scored as Weedon shared the points with Wilbarston in a 3-3 draw.


 

Rothenberger Tools Division Three

Dainite Sports beat Wellingborough Raffertys 8-2.

Mike Fielding amassed a four goal tally, to which Jed Brennan and Ben Oliver added one a piece as Daventry Drayton Grange won 6-1 against West Haddon.

Great Doddingtons` Shane Richardson made his teams contribution in a 1-1 draw with Wilby; whose goal came from Daniel Mortimer.

Hilmorton just won a close encounter against Staverton Park Rangers with goals from Peter Elson, Andy Gilroy and Marc Thompson; the Staverton replies came from R Evans and A James 3-2.

Andy Reynoldson and Carl Hughes scored for Wellingborough Old Grammarians as they drew 2-2 with Ristee Towers; Sean Wesley and Gary Rose got the goals for Towers.   

 

Division Four

Corby Everards went down narrowly by 2-1 in their home game with Wellingborough Rising Sun, Robert Chalmers got the goal for the home team, but goals for Tyler Amphlett and Kyle Morgan saw Rising Sun take all three points home.

First played against third in Corby local derby between Corby Leaf and Corby Strip Mills, Paul Braybrook scored for Leaf as the game finished 1-1.

Corby Eagles closed the gap on the leaders with a 2-1away defeat over CSV United.

Elsewhere, Wellingborough WMC were victorious against Thrapston AFC a Jay Brown hat-trick and one a piece for Mark Gater and Jay Ivory won the game 5-2.

 

Duston Garage (Bosch Service) Reserve Premier Division

Corby Madisons Res were in dominant form in their contest against Moulton Res, the prolific Colm Pacey got a brace for Moulton, but Gareth Walker (2), L Thompson (3) and Rich McBlain ensured a 6-2 score-line.

Steven Thain and Rob Allan scored as Corby Pegasus Res won 2-1 against Harpole Res.

Local rivals Heyford Athletic Res hosted Bugbrooke St Michaels A and were hammered 6-0.

Roger Green, Neil Ryall and Bob Anderson scored in a 3-0 victory for James King Blisworth Res over Gretton Res.

Kettering Nomads Res beat Weldon United Res thanks to a single goal for Fraser Ingram 1-0.

Also with a 1-0 home win were;   Kislingbury Res with a goal for Franco Anzelmo against Roade Res and O N Chenecks A with a Simon Abbott goal over Milton Res.


Reserve Division One

Brixworth All Saints Res claimed another point in their attempt to avoid relegation as they drew 3-3 with Corby Locomotives Res; their goals were from Peter Anscombe, Jamie Jackson and M Pepperell.

Bugbrooke St Michaels B 1-2 Queen Eleanor Great Houghton Res.

Bill Lawrence and Lawrence Bulliman scored as Harpole A went down against Medbourne Res 3-2.

Phil Moore, Steve Anderson and Dan Renshaw all netted against Ringstead Rangers Res as Spratton Res went down 4-3 in a close battle.

Scott Eason (2) and Richard Carr scored as Wootton St George Res won 3-0 against Finedon Volta Res.

 

Reserve Division Two

Islip United Res got a goal from Scott Richards in their 2-1 home defeat by Stanwick Rovers Res.

Wilby Res were beaten 4-2 by Dainite Sports Res, Wilby goals for Scott Layland and Wayne Dickens were not enough.
