Weedon
bottom club in Keystone
Roofing Supplies Division Two, despite eventually losing against
divisional leaders Finedon Volta they were worthy adversaries on the day
and almost picked up a well deserved point.
NORTHAMPTONSHIRE FA LOWER JUNIOR CUP SEMI FINAL
The leagues` only remaining club in the competition Great Doddington went out, despite a valiant effort, by the odd goal as they were beaten by a Kev Grisley goal for Netherton United 1-0.
Weldon Skip Hire Premier Division
Heyford Athletic further eased their relegation worries with 4-0 thrashing of fellow strugglers Stanion United, goals for Tom Whittaker, Tom Butcher, Paul Farmer and Stephen Hair sealed their victory.
Bottom club Kettering Nomads were unable to collected any points as they were narrowly beaten 1-0 at home by Roade.
Current title holders Harpole further increased their lead of the table with a 3-0 humbling of third placed local rivals Kislingbury, Scott Mills, Stuart Clarke and Dan Surridge got the goals.
Simon Howard scored for Milton, but they were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Corby Madisons thanks to a goal a piece for Dave McShefferty and Paul Simpson.
Ravensthorpe LB and Moulton shared the points in a thrilling 10 goaler that could have gone either way. Mo Ali got a hat-trick for LB and D Fifield and A O’Leary got one each, the Moulton scorers were Nick Worley (2), B Thomas, Adrian Redmond and Chris Dickens 5-5.
Whitefield Norpol, with goals for C Kirby (2) and John Slater were victors over out of sorts Brixworth All Saints 3-0.

Russell Roofing Division One
Corby Kingfisher Athletic hosted James King Blisworth, the game finished 1-0, thanks to a single goal for James Treleaven.
Earls Barton United took charge of their fixture with Corby Phoenix running out eventual 5-2 winners thanks to efforts from, Guiseppe Stefano (2), Tony Abbott, Kev Edwards and Ian Clarke.
Harborough Town kept up the pressure on the leaders with a 4-2 defeat of Stanwick Rovers, Dan Wright got a hat-trick and Andy Wilson scored in a tight game.
Medbourne, though kept a three point gap between the top two as Barry Panter, Russ Escrit and Rob Thompson contributed to a 4-0 win over Crick Athletic.
Queen Eleanor Great Houghton were in fine form as they put Bective Wanderers to the sword with goals from Gareth Errington (3), Kieran Nixon (2) and Dave Nottage 6-0.
Weldon United kept the pressure on the leaders as they saw off Spratton 4-2, with a James Konarczak hat-trick and one for Lee Bell, James Higgins got a brace for the visitors.
Wootton St George just edged a close contest with Welford Victoria as Stuart McDermott scored the only goal of the game 1-0.

Keystone Roofing Supplies Division Two
Clipston played host to Burton United and it was the visitors who stole the points with a 4-0 victory thanks to the scoring skills of Graham Steward, Jamie Hunter, Lewis McIntyre and Andy Milne.
Punjab United held their grip on second spot with a 2-0 defeat of Kettering Orchard Park, goal-scorers were; Michael Chong and Andrew Cox.
Gavin Wills and Lewis Woods scored for Ringstead Rangers as they shared the points with Wilbarston in a 2-2 draw.
Weedon came close to earning a much needed point as they were just beaten by visiting league leaders in a top versus bottom match that on paper was not expected to be so close, Jamie Johnstone, Dave Reeve and Gavin Saunders got the Weedon goals, but shots from Pete Jones, Dan Hockridge, John Tarry and Scott Marlow, saw Finedon Volta scrape through 4-3.
Elsewhere, Wellingborough Ranelagh won 2-1 against Islip United and Wollaston Victoria and Cold Ashby Rovers swapped places in fourth and third respectively as Wollaston won 1-0 with a Charlie Pipe goal.
Rothenberger Tools Division Three
Daventry Drayton Grange slipped up against relegation strugglers Corby Locomotives and lost second place, Matt Russ scored for the home team, but strikes for James McKay and David Clarke sealed an unlikely victory for Locos 2-1.
David McIvor (4), Paul Kelly (2) and Lee Pettigrew scored as Hillmorton were humbled by Corby Danesholme Vikings 7-0, a result that sees Vikings move up to second.
A Gary Rose brace and one from Karl Guy ensured a Ristee Towers victory over West Haddon, which sees Towers increase their lead at the top, 3-0.
Staverton Park Rangers were shown the ropes by Wellingborough Old Grammarians as they ran out 3-0 winners, goals for Dan O`Rielly (2) and Dan Bailey.
Gavin Noble and Nick Langley scored for Weavers Old Boys as they beat a visiting Wilby side 2-0.
Division Four
Corby Everards won 5-1 against bottom club Thrapston AFC.
Unsurprisingly, Jamie Cairns got four goals as Corby Leaf beat Yardley United 6-2, the other Leaf scorers were Paul Braybrook and Andy Norman, whilst Jamie Burrows and Rikki Roberts scored for Yardley.
Meanwhile, Kettering Park Rovers lost 4-2 at home against Corby Eagles, who stay top and Corby Strip Mills kept up the pressure with a 5-0 away victory at Wellingborough WMC courteousy of efforts from; Shaun Lewis, Mark Bradley, Darren Harrison and Paul Murray (2).
Duston Garage (Bosch Service) Reserve Premier Division
Bugbrooke St Michaels A closed the gap on leaders Weldon United Res with a 3-2 victory; a hat-trick for Sean Weston made the difference against a Dave Thompson brace for Weldon.
Corby Madisons Res, despite scoring four themselves were disappointed as they were just edged 5-4 by Kislingbury Res Anthony O`Rielly (3) Phil O’Brien and Paddy O’Brien got the Kisl Goals.
George Donnelly was the only Gretton Res player on the score-sheet with his three goals the other two Gretton goals were own goals as they won 5-2 against Heyford Athletic Res.
Harpole Res picked up three more much needed points with a 2-0 victory over Milton Res, John Coleman and Quinton Wade got the goals.
Dan Doble and Jak Collins scored as Moulton Res kept up with the chasing pack with a 2-1 defeat of O N Chenecks A.
Spick and Derek Fuller got the goals for Roade Res as they kept themselves firmly in the mix with a 2-0 triumph over Kettering Nomads Res.
Reserve
Division One
Brixworth All Saints Res are in further trouble following their latest defeat at home to Wollaston Victoria Res 4-0.
Corby Locomotives Res lost 4-0 also as they hosted Wooton St George Res.
Stuart Last scored for Finedon Volta Res in their 3-1 defeat by Ringstead Rangers Res.
Whitefield Norpol Res once more showed their pedigree as league leaders with a 6-0 demolition of Harpole A, Ross Arundel (2), Jeremy Smith, Tim Antell, Brett Sandy and Adam Wittich-Jackson scored.
Sean Conapo scored for Spratton Res as they shared the points with Bugbrooke St Michaels B 1-1.
Stanion United Res did well as they edged Harborough Town Res 3-2, Steven Church got two and Rob Bradshaw the other.
Reserve Division Two
Despite goals for Dean Holyoake and Ross Macaulay Crick Athletic Res were well beaten by Welford Victoria Res, Broadbent got four whilst it was a brace for Rick Partridge, Ross Weston added the other as Vic ran out 7-2 winners.
Tommy Smith got a brace and Andy Richies and Andy Brown one each as Dainite Sports Res won 4-1 against Weedon Res.
Chris Meadway was the only scorer for Islip United Res in their 4-1 victory against Wellingborough Old Grammarians Res.
Ben Chambers and Ryan Knight scored as Stanwick Rovers Res won 2-0 against Daventry Drayton Grange Res.
Weldon United A dropped points at the top with a 2-1 defeat by Kettering Orchard Park Res, Sean Fraser got the Weldon goal, whilst Mark Kelly got a brace for the visitors.
