Highgrade Motor Star Award:
The High Grade Motors Star Award this week goes to Kislingbury Reserves for their 4-2 away win over James King Blisworth Reserves.


NORTHAMPTONSHIRE FA LOWER JUNIOR CUP Quarter Final (northants comb teams in bold)

A Dan Harding strike put Great Doddington into the 5th round as they beat Thrapston Town Res 1-0.

Milton Res went down 3-0 against UCL Prem Res side Wellingborough Town Res.

Netherton United beat Finedon Volta 3-0.

Steve Field, Gavin Saunders and Matthew Ingram scored for Weedon as they beat Clipston 3-1 to go into round 5; Simon Barby got the Clipston consolation.

 

Weldon Skip Hire Premier Division

It was all change at the top of the Premier Division as reigning champions Harpole hosted leaders Milton in a close fought contest over top spot, a Surridge brace made the difference as Harpole went a point clear, with three games in hand, Martin got the reply for Milton 2-1.

A rampant Kislingbury moved up to third with a 6-0 drubbing of Kettering Nomads, a Greg Ling pair and goals from Duncan Eade, Stephen Roe, Gary Hopper and Macintosh saw Kisl challenging for honours, two points off the lead and with games in hand over all of the other top teams.

Moulton closed the gap on the leaders with a convincing 3-0 victory over local rivals Brixworth All Saints, their goals came from Nick Worley, Ryan Dufty and Michael Jacznik.

 


Russell Roofing Division One

Bottom placed Crick Athletic increased their worries as they went down 1-0 against James King Blisworth, the goal came from Tim Spooner.

With only one other game played in the division Medbourne moved into top spot with a good 2-0 win over Earls Barton United, Ben Johnson and Rob Thompson got the goals.


Keystone Roofing Supplies Division Two

In the only divisional game Wilbarston hosted Gretton, the visitors were in a dominant mood as Dave Harding (2), Adam Muir, Dan Currall and McAlindon all scored in a 5-0 mauling of the hosts, Tony Hipkiss got the consolation 5-1.


 

Rothenberger Tools Division Three

There was just one game in Division three, but it was a thriller that saw seven goals in the match between Wellingborough Old Grammarians and Weavers Old Boys Mark Fletcher got a brace for the home team as Dan Bailey added another, but they were just bettered by strikes for Martin Dunn, Ricky Thompson, Michael Davis and Matt Fitzjohn 4-3.

 

Division Four

Duston Garage (Bosch Service) Reserve Premier Division

Heyford Athletic Res hosted an in-form Moulton Res in a well contested game, but neither team was able to take all three points, Gentian Shahollari and Luke Coulson scored for the hosts, but their goals were cancelled out by Mouton’s regular scorers Dan Doble and Colm Pacey 2-2.

It was braces all round as James King Blisworth Res took on Kislingbury Res, Roger Green got his for the hosts, but Franco Anzelmo and Anthony O`Rielly got a pair a piece in a 4-2 victory.

Roade Res further closed the gap on the leaders with a 5-1 thrashing of Harpole Res Craig Pugh, Malloy, Jon Tapp, Liam Chamberlain and Jon Freeman were all on target for Roade as they dominated the game.


Reserve Division One

Harpole A hosted local rivals Bugbrooke St Michael B and lost 4-1 Lee Mills got the goal for Harpole.  Bugbrooke moved into second spot.

Ringstead Rangers Res were assertive in their fixture with Corby Locomotives Res, James Goodman added one to his hat-trick and Rob Crick got a brace, Adam cooper added another as they easily overcame the visitors 7-1.

Spratton Res shared the points in a 2-2 draw with Medbourne Res, Luke Williams got the goals for Spratton and Lee Chapman and Nick Bridger converted for the visitors.  

Wollaston Victoria Res hit top spot with a 4-1 triumph over Harborough Town Res,

Gavin Boddington (2) and Gary Roberts (2) got the Victoria goals, the Harborough reply came from Jason Vye.

 

Reserve Division Two

Islip United Res hosted bottom club Weedon Res and despite a battle from the visitors eventually won the game 4-2, Adam Hope, Chris Meadway(2) and Ross Minnie, were on target.

Stanwick Rovers Res shared the spoils with Kettering Orchard Park Res in a game that ended 2-2, Ellwood got the Stanwick goals.

Welford Victoria Res closed the gap on top place to a point and moved into second with a 5-0 hammering of Daventry Drayton Grange Res, Andy King (2), Alex Broadbent (2), and Giles Hill all scored.
