Russell Roofing Division One Cup - Semi Final

Both Semi-Finals in the Div one cup were close affairs with only the slimmest of margins separating the teams.

Duston Garage (Bosch Service) Reserve Premier Division Cup - Semi Final

Following last weeks early Semi-Final which saw Moulton Res progress to the final it was the turn of the other two Semi-Finalists to fight it out to decide who deserved the right to challenge Moulton.

Corby Madisons Reserves hosted Weldon United Reserves and despite two goals for Chris Madden, Weldon’s losing run continued and with the defeat their double hopes disappeared, but they must still be favourites to win the league.   Madisons were the dominant side and Tony Walker added to Thompson’s four as they breezed into the final.

Reserve Division Two Cup - Semi Final

Kettering Orchard Park Res have been doing well in the league of late as have opponents Welford Victoria Res, so predicting this one would have been hard, the game was tight on the whole but it was Welford who eventually progressed with a 2-0 win.

Weldon United A took the game to visitors Stanwick Rovers Res but couldn’t break the deadlock in the first half.

After a tactical substitution at the start of the second half, Ryan Cark came on and the game started to unfold:  he set up Andrew Sweeny for his brace and was a key player in the penalty decision, but unfortunately Austen Milne put it in the next field.  Milne made up for his schoolboy error with a delightful flounce 10 minutes later.  Andrew Clark also chipped in with a 2-yard tap-in.   Ben Chambers and Daniel Tarr contributed to an old fashioned cup tie for Rovers.   Final scheduled for Thursday 3rd April 2008 @ Raunds Town FC.
