Highgrade Motor Star Award:
Ringstead Reserves 3-2 away win to Medbourne Reserves

 

Weldon Skip Hire Premier Division

Leaders Corby Pegasus hosted local rivals Corby Madisons in a top of table clash that saw the hosts drop two places in the league by close of play, Madisons went top following their 3-1 victory, Liam Duffy scored for Pegasus.   In the other contest involving the top three Kislingbury travelled to neighbours Heyford Athletic, despite a goal from Richard Powell, goals from Macintosh and Duncan Eade just edged the victory 2-1 for Kislingbury seeing them move into second place. 

Elsewhere Kettering Nomads hosted last seasons champions Harpole where they were beaten convincingly 3-0.

Ravensthorpe LB were narrowly beaten 1-0 at home against Milton, thanks to a goal from Willis.

In a mid table clash, Roade entertained Brixworth All Saints in a six goal thriller.   A brace for Mattius Marriot and one a piece for Mark Drake and James Feasey were enough to ensure that Roade took all the points, Tom Watkins and Rick Kimble got the away goals, 4-2.

John Slater and Dave Garrett each scored for Whitefield Norpol as they were closely beaten 3-2 by Moulton, whose goals came from; Craig Cassidy, Nick Worley and Ryan Dufty.

 


Russell Roofing Division One

Corby Kingfisher Athletic beat Spratton 3-0, whilst Harborough Town continued on their winning run thrashing hosts Earls Barton United 4-0.

Ryan Butler and Andy Kyle were both once more on target for Corby Phoenix as they won 2-0 away at Stanwick Rovers.

Despite strikes for Ian Bell and James Konerczek, Weldon United conceded second spot to Medbourne following goals from Rob Mursday, Ged Downing and Bobby Tunstone in an end to end game that finished 3-2 in favour of the visitors.

Welford Victoria were in a dominant mood as a Rob Edge strike and braces all round for Nigel Barraclough and  Seb Seward saw them humble Bective Wanderers 5-1.


Keystone Roofing Supplies Division Two

Cold Ashby Rovers hosted Islip United, Ringer got a brace and Tom Dunne and Russ Lewis added to it as they just beat the visitors 4-3 in a hard fought contest, a goal for Keith Morson and an Alan Harrison brace completed the scoring.

Early leaders, Punjab United seem to be struggling somewhat lately and a visiting Gretton side were too strong as they triumphed in a nine goal contest, Dave Harding and Steve Chilton both scored in addition to the braces achieved by McAlindon and Lee Wildman.   Warren Barry, Julian Millington and Hassan Mumin got the Punjab goals,    6-3.

Ringstead Rangers were also hit for six as they went down 6-2 against a confident visiting Clipston side, Tom Martin and Adam Brice scored for Rangers.

Wellingborough Ranelagh won 2-1 against Rushden Corner Flag, whilst in the other game of the division Charlie Pipe, James Hudson and Andrew Munday scored for leaders Wollaston Victoria, but due to goals from Sam Desborough and Adam King (2), they had to share the points with Finedon Volta 3-3.


 

Rothenberger Tools Division Three

Ristee Towers moved up into second spot with a 4-2 win over Great Doddington, Gary Rose, Connor Gordon, Adam Taylor and Sean Wesley got their goals.

Staverton Park Rangers hosted a thrilling, but close game that saw ten goals, Michael Christie scored an amazing five goals and Mark Elson notched up the other as Rangers eventually beat Dainite Sports 6-4.

A Nick Lindsey strike and a couple from Cameron Richards were enough to give Weavers Old Boys victory over Wellingborough Raffertys 3-1.

Mark Fletcher just edged it for Wellingborough Old Grammarians in a 1-0 defeat of Hilmorton, this result allowed West Haddon to climb two places from the bottom spot as they beat fellow strugglers Corby Locomotives 2-0, Neil Davies converted and an OG rounded of the scoring.

Danny Nolan scored for Wilby, but Paul Kelly and Lee Martin goals ensured Corby Danesholme Vikings stayed top with a 2-1 win.

 

Division Four

Corby Leaf moved up to fourth place with a 3-2 win over CSV United, Joe Finnegan, Jamie Cairns and Ryan Hayes got their goals whilst efforts from Tim Allen and Duncan McGregor completed the scoring.

Elsewhere in the town Corby Strip Mills increased their lead at the top by beating Wellingborough Rising Sun 3-1 with goals from Shaun Lewis, Stephen Harrison and Paul Murray, whilst Kyle Morgan got the consolation for Rising Sun.

In what looked to be an evenly contested mid table clash on paper Kettering Weekly Vale United were hammered 9-1 by Corby Everards, Chris Chalmers, Ian Scullion, D Podbielski and Scott Collins got a brace each and George Brown added the other.

Jason Brown and Jason Ivory got a brace each and Jim Jameson Jnr and Carl Billing got one each in a 6-4 victory over Kettering Park Rovers for Wellingborough WMC that saw them move up to third.

Yardley United hosted Corby Eagles, winning 4-3 with a strike from Robin Harte and a hat-trick from Tom “Pixie” Dixon.

 

Duston Garage (Bosch Service) Reserve Premier Division

In a mid table contest Corby Madison Res hosted O N Chenecks A and narrowly beat them with a goal for Cearan Warren 1-0.

Gretton Res were visited by Roade Res and it was the visitors who had the upper hand in this one winning 4-1.

Dominic Richardson and John Pell were on the score sheet as James King Blisworth Res overcame Corby Pegasus Res 2-0.

Unsurprisingly Kislingbury Res were on the wrong end of a 2-0 defeat by table toppers Weldon United Res.

In a match between Milton Res and Heyford Athletic Res there were ten goals, however neither team could managed to take any advantage for long and it ended 5-5, Milton’s` goals came from Dominic Spinelli (2), Michael Ashby-Clarke (2) and Richard Carter,, Whilst Anthony Payne (2), Phil Spencer (2) and Genti Shahollari scored for the visitors.

In form Moulton Res hosted Bugbrooke St Michaels A and in a hard fought game were finally well beaten 6-3, despite their goals from Mark Batty, Chris Doran and Colm Pacey.


Reserve Division One

Brixworth All Saints Res were sitting nicely in mid table a few weeks ago, but recent results have not gone their way on the whole, and their game against Harpole A was no better, despite an effort from Dan Shaw they were narrowly beaten in a close contest 2-1, thanks to a goal a piece for Billy Lawrence and Colin Mowbray leaving All Saints rock bottom.

Bugbrooke St Michaels B kept up their current good form, beating Stanion United Res 3-0 at a canter.   Elsewhere, Corby Locomotives Res were just beaten 2-1 at home against Finedon Volta Res, whose goals were courteousy of Jason Sumner and Neal Piggott.

Harborough Town Res moved up into third on the back of a home win against Wollaston Victoria Res, Callan and Dean Humphrey got their goals whilst, Steven Musgrave got the Wollaston reply 2-1.

In another game in the division Medbourne Res went down 3-2 against Ringstead Rangers Res.

Queen Eleanor Great Houghton Res were just strong enough as they edged their fixture against table toppers Whitefield Norpol Res; to earn three much needed points to drag them clear of Brixworth.   With goals from Sean Miller, Luke Rideout and Sam Webb they just bettered a brace from Ross Arundell 3-2.

A much improved Wootton St George Res side scored freely in a one sided affair against Spratton Res, Josh Urquhart, Elliott Windburn and Scott Eason (2) all converted, but the pick of the bunch was a hat-trick for Ryan Smith 7-0.

 

Reserve Division Two

Crick Athletic Res were in fine form as they scored freely versus Stanwick Rovers Res, Goals from Martin Wilson, Nino Galois, Anthony Hughes and a brace for Mark Taylor saw the visitors off 5-1, Steve Oslar got a consolation.

Dainite Sports Res were on the wrong end of a 5-1 drubbing also, as they were put to the sword by Welford Victoria Res.

Dave Robinson and Chris Thompson (2) scored for Daventry Drayton Grange Res as their 3-1 victorious match against leaders Kettering Orchard Park Res caused O P to slip a place.

Islip United Res moved up to third thanks to goals from Adam Hope (2), Sam Smith and Adrian Mayes (2) helping them to cruise to a 5-0 humbling of Wilby Res.

Weedon Res and Wellingborough Old Grammarians Res shared the points in a 1-1 draw.   Finally, Weldon United A were able to climb to the top of the table following a convincing victory over Earls Barton United Res 4-1, goals from James Ferguson (2), Sean Fraser and Tom Galway.
