Highgrade Motor Star Award:
This weeks Highgrade Motors Star Award goes to: Ringstead Rangers for their 3-2 defeat of Keystone Roofing Supplies Div 2 leaders Finedon Volta, not bad for the club at the bottom.


Weldon Skip Hire Premier Division

Brixworth All Saints hosted Roade and for the second consecutive home game were on the wrong end of an away victory as Roade won it 4-0.

There was an eight goal thriller in Corby as Madisons played host to Whitefield Norpol, Dave McShefferty and Paul Simpson each got a brace for Madisons, whilst Terry Williams, Jay Vieyra, Richard Slater and Paul Gordon all converted for Norpol 4-4.

Last seasons` champions; Harpole went five points clear a the top of the table with a 3-0 mauling of second placed local rivals; Kislingbury, the goals came from Dan Surridge, Owen Phillips and Carl Barrick.

Lacoh Chimponda converted for Heyford Athletic as they shared the points with Ravensthorpe LB in a 1-1 draw; Alex Bond got the goal for LB.

Ryan Dufty and Callum Pallet were successful for Moulton, but they were narrowly beaten 3-2 by Corby Pegasus who remain third.

In a bottom of the table clash Stanion United with a brace from Hall, shared the points with Kettering Nomads, whose goals came from Craig Thurlow and Darren Charlsey.



Russell Roofing Division One

Sam Savage scored for Bective Wanderers as they went down 2-1 against Stanwick Rovers.

Corby Phoenix were able to hold second placed Harborough Town at home as Andy Kyle and Ross Ginns scored for them, Ashley Robinson and Danny Wright got the replies 2-2.

Earls Barton United also did well to hold higher placed opposition as Guiseppe Stefano scored in their 1-1 draw with Welford Victoria; their goal came from Ed Briscoe.

Medbourne increased the lead at the top with a 2-1 victory over James King Blisworth, Rob Mobsby and N Chapman getting their goals, Roger Green got the JK goal.

Queen Eleanor Great Houghton moved out of the bottom two with a close 1-0 victory over fellow strugglers Crick Athletic, thanks to a well placed Craig Young penalty.

Spratton found themselves in further trouble following a resounding away victory for Wootton St George, Jimmy Higgins got the goal for Spratton 4-1.

Weldon United moved up a place into second as they dominated early on against Corby Kingfisher Athletic, they took the lead through Ian Bell.   In the second half, Weldon were rattled and Kingfisher equalized through a set piece, scored by Steve Gibson, but Weldon snatched the winner through a late Stuart Porter blast 2-1.


Keystone Roofing Supplies Division Two

In a mid table contest, Clipston hosted Gretton and were just able to edge it 3-2 in a hard fought match.

Thanks to the top two both losing Cold Ashby Rovers were able to move up to second with a convincing 4-0 away win against Kettering Orchard Park.

Tom Martin, Callum Mains and Shaun Wilkes scored for Ringstead Rangers as they triumphed over top club Finedon Volta 3-2, Adam King and John Savage scored for Finedon.

Weedon and Burton United were unable to break the deadlock as their game finished   0-0.

Welling borough Ranelagh did extremely well against a strong Punjab United side wining the game 3-1, despite a Paul Hetherington penalty for Punjab.


 

Rothenberger Tools Division Three

It was Barnett Fair, at Dainite Sports as Dean Barnett, Dave Barnett and Rob Barnett (3) scored for the home team, Kevin Ludlum also got one as Corby Locomotives were put to the sword 6-1, David Holmes got the consolation.

Daventry Drayton Grange moved back to the top with a 3-1 defeat of Wellingborough Raffertys, Jed Brennan, Jamie Sedgley and Matt Russ got the goals.

Shane Richardson (2) and Richard Swales scored for Great Doddington as they beat Corby Danesholme Vikings 3-1 Paul Kelly got the Vikings goal.

Hilmorton were triumphant over visiting Wilby as Dean Oldham, Peter Elson, Russ Baynes and Adam Hartwell scored 4-2.

Ristee Towers dropped a place as they dropped two points in a 1-1 draw with Weavers Old Boys, Adam Taylor got their goal.

Wellingborough Old Grammarians were successful in their fixture against West Haddon, Mark Fletcher, Craig Turnbull and Dan O`Rielly scored for OG whilst, Marian Lukac got the reply. 

 

Division Four

Jamie Cairns just can’t stop scoring for Corby Leaf, but despite his goal Leaf went down 2-1 against Corby Eagles in this derby game.

Another Corby team on away duty were Strip Mills who were convincing in a victory over CSV United that saw them move back into second spot, Paul Murray (2), Shaun Lewis, Paul Trainor and Scott McKinnon scored as the game ended 5-0.

Elsewhere, Kettering Park Rovers won 3-0 against Yardley United and Thrapston AFC were hammered 8-0 by Corby Everards.

Finally in the days Wellingborough derby WMC narrowly beat Rising Sun 3-2 with goals from Jay Brown (2) and Dan Redden.

 

Duston Garage (Bosch Service) Reserve Premier Division

Recent strugglers; Corby Pegasus Res were dominant against recent stutterers; Moulton Res, James McCann got a hat-trick and Davie McGuffie added another as   Pegasus won 4-1, Adam Cadd got the consolation.

Gretton Res were defeated 2-0 at home by two Richard Blaine goals for Corby Madisons Res.

James King Blisworth also went down 2-0 at home against Milton Res.

Craig Tindle scored for Kettering Nomads Res in their 1-0 defeat of Heyford Athletic Res, whilst Brown got the only goal in the game between Kislingbury Res and Harpole Res as Kisl won 1-0.

Weldon United Res expected to beat O N Chenecks Res with ease but they managed to come back with two late goals which made it look like a closer game.  Andrew Ritchie scored the first for Weldon after good work from David Thompson.  In the second half, Weldon put on a superb show with an outstanding header from Chris Madden and a David Thompson brace putting them easily in control.  A keeper error gave Chenecks hope before a late drama saw them come back to 3-4, with Chris Gilligan and Dick Willey (2) getting their goals.


Reserve Division One

Whitefield Norpol Res consolidated their grip of top spot with a 7-2 drubbing of Medbourne Res, Ross Arundell got a hat-trick and Ian Cooper a brace, also on the Norpol score sheet were Will Moffat and Craig McCauley.

Corby Locomotives Res narrowly lost 3-2 at home to Queen Eleanor Great Houghton Res, despite a brace for Anthony Underwood.

Finedon Volta Res did well to share the points with Wollaston Victoria Res in a game that ended 1-1.

Lawrence Bulliman got the only goal as Harpole A won away at Harborough Town Res.

Dan Creasey and Scott Eason scored for Wootton St George Res as they were beaten 3-2 at home by Ringstead Rangers Res.

 

Reserve Division Two

Crick Athletic Res shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Dainite Sports Res.

Islip United Res went down 3-1 against leaders Weldon United A, Weldon took an early lead through good passing football and an Andrew Sweeny goal.  Islip scored an equalizer through Chris Meadway.   Straight away in the second half, Weldon regained the lead through Tom Galway and youngster James Junior Collins scored with a late lob to seal Weldon’s victory.

Ryan Knight got a hat-trick as Stanwick Rovers Res won 3-0 against Weedon Res.

Alex Broadbent was the only scorer for Welford Victoria Res as they lost 3-1 to Kettering Orchard Park Res, Finally Wilby Res, with goals from Wayne Dickens and Terry McDonald won 2-1 against Earls Barton United Res.
