Highgrade Motor Star Award:
The High Grade Motors Star Award this week goes to Roade for their 10-1 demolition of Stanion United in the Premier Division Cup.


NORTHAMPTONSHIRE FA LOWER JUNIOR CUP Quarter Final (northants comb teams in bold)

Corby Danesholme Vikings edged into the fifth round with a 2-1 victory over Cold Ashby Rovers, Paul Kelly and Lee Pettigrew got the Vikings goals.

Weldon United Res were on the wrong end of a 4-0 defeat by Yardley Gobion.

 

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE FA AREA CUP Quarter Final (northants comb teams in bold)

Corby Eagles booked a semi-final place in a close fought contest with Oundle Town Res, James McLaren got a brace and James Burton added another in a 3-2 triumph.

In a hotly contested quarter-final derby Corby Leaf were just overcome by local rivals Corby Strip Mills, Leafs` goals were from Jamie Cairns, whilst a Craig Lewis brace and a goal from Paul Murray saw this one finish 3-2.

Despite goals from Mark Kelly and Karl Halle-Dry, Kettering Orchard Park Res were also narrowly beaten 3-2 by Bugbrooke St Michael B.  

Weldon Skip Hire Premier Division Cup Round 2

Corby Madisons and Milton were all Square 1-1 at full time, with Daniel York getting the Milton Goal, Milton went through 4-2 on penalties.

Corby Pegasus lost a close game with divisional leaders Harpole 1-0, through a goal for Dan Surridge.

Roade hit double figures in their visit to Stanion United, James Feasey (4), Mark Drake (3) Matt Marriott and James Pankewyez  all added to the score sheet as Roade hammered their hosts 10-1, Liam Clelland got the Stanion consolation.

Russell Roofing Division One Cup Round 2

Crick Athletic hosted Stanwick Rovers, Carl Bedford got a brace and Paul Brown added another as Stanwick rocked into round three 3-1, Darren Herbert got the Crick goal.

Welford Victoria romped into the third round with a 4-1 defeat of Bective Wanderers, Robert Edge (2), Pete Durran and Marcus Crone got their goals.

Wootton St George and Harborough Town were level at one a piece on the 90, Dean Weldon got the Wootton goal, Harborough go through 4-2 after the penalty shootout.

 

Keystone Roofing Supplies Division Two Cup Round 2

Punjab United put Islip United to the sword 5-0, with a Michael Chong hat-trick, Paul Hetherington and Gary Wilson added to it as Punjab strolled into the next round.

 

Rothenberger Tools Division Three Cup Round 2

Daventry Drayton Grange, with goals from Jed Brennan, Dave Sedgewick and Jamie Sedgley, waltzed into round 3 with a 3-1 victory over Ristee Towers.

Great Doddington made an easy passage into the next round with a 4-1 defeat over West Haddon, Brett Greenhalf (2), Lee Johnstone and Shane Richardson got their goals, M Kovak got the reply.


 

Duston Garage (Bosch Service) Reserve Premier Division Cup Rd 2

Harpole Res went down narrowly against Milton Res with a 1-0 defeat.

James King Blisworth Res hosted a close battle for the right to advance to the next round, but despite a brace for Roger Green, the honours went to Corby Madisons Res with efforts from Ian Young Joe McLaughlin and Lee Compton 3-2.

In-form Moulton Res were too strong for Heyford Athletic Res in a 4-0 victory, goals from Adam Cadd, Colm Pacey, Dan Doble and Callum Pallet ensured they were in the hat for the round three draw.

 

Reserve Division One Cup Round 2

In a nine goal cup thriller Brixworth All Saints Res continued on the winning trail with a close 5-4 victory over Weedon Res.

Corby Locomotives Res entertained Harborough Town Res, Alan Cook, James marks (2) and an OG saw the visitors just edge into round three, despite efforts for Alan Lynch and Gareth McBain 4-3.

Elsewhere Whitefield Norpol Res won by the same result against Medbourne Res, 4-3.

Gary Roberts and Gav Boddington got a brace each in their game for Wollaston Victoria Res against Stanion United Res; David Brown got the other goal for Vic as they won 5-3.

 

Reserve Division Two Cup Round 2

Stanwick Rovers Res took on Weedon Res with Ryan Knight, Bill Gates and Ashley Lemmon all scoring as they won 4-3, Adam Sargisson (2) and Reece Quinn got the visitors` goals.

 

 

Weldon Skip Hire Premier Division

Heyford Athletic were triumphant over Moulton, Steven Hair and Alex Heath scoring in a 2-1 win, Craig Cassidy got the goal for Moulton.

Kettering Nomads drew 2-2 with Brixworth All Saints whose goals were from; Craig Rose and Joe Frost.

Goals for Tom Gee, Greg Ling and Carl Jczuk ensured that Kislingbury romped to a 3-0 win over Whitefield Norpol.

 


Russell Roofing Division One

Corby Phoenix won 3-1 against Earls Barton United with strikes from; Stephen Millar, Andy Kyle and John Sludden, Neil Baldwin got the reply for United.

Queen Eleanor Great Houghton went down 3-0 against Weldon United, Ian Bell, Sean Wright and James Konarczak got the goals.

Spratton were just edged 3-2 by Corby Kingfisher Athletic.


Keystone Roofing Supplies Division Two

Burton United won 4-1 against Finedon Volta, Matt Gale (2), Leigh Chapman and Scott Marlow scoring.

Clipston lost 1-0 against Wellingborough Ranelagh.

Chris Abraham and Tom Martin were on the score sheet as Ringstead Rangers drew with Wollaston Victoria whose goals were from James Hudson (2).

Weedon were unable to break the deadlock with Gretton, 0-0.

Wilbarston were victorious over Kettering Orchard Park by 3-0, Bradley Phillips got two, the other came from Anton Hipkiss.


 

Rothenberger Tools Division Three

Rob and Dave Barnett got one a piece as Dainite Sports shared the points with Hilmorton 2-2.

Staverton Park Rangers were 3-1 victors over Weavers Old Boys, Mike Christie, Russell Brown and Shaun Louison got the goals.

Wellingborough Old Grammarians edged their contest with local rivals Wellingborough Raffertys; Mark Fletcher, Perry Nimmo and Andy Reynoldson got the goals for O G whilst Liam Swane scored for Raffertys 3-2

Christian Pavlyslyn got a hat-trick for Wilby, but this wasn’t enough as they went down 5-3 against Corby Locomotives, James McKay (2), Scott McGowatt (2) and Dave Holmes got the goals for Locos.

 

Division Four

Corby Everards with goals from George Brown, Ian Scullion and Chris Chalmers beat Yardley United 3-1; their goal was for Terry Lack.

Jason Ivory scored for Wellingborough WMC in their 2-1 away defeat against Kettering Park Rovers.

Thrapston AFC were hammered in their own back yard as a rampant visiting Wellingborough Rising Sun were up for the fight, Tony Walker (2), Karl Clarke and Wayne Baldwin were all on the score sheet.

Alex McNeillie got a hat-trick, Sean Weston a brace and Dave griffin a single as Bugbrooke St Michaels A triumphed over Kettering Nomads Res 6-1.

Gretton Res lost against Kislingbury Res, despite an effort from Ian Abrahams as Anthony O`Rielly got a brace for Kisl 2-1.

Jon Freeman and Liam Chamberlain scored as Road Res shared the points with O N Chenecks A 2-2.


Reserve Division One

Harpole A were hammered 5-0 by Ringstead Rangers Res.

 

Reserve Division Two

Earls Barton United Res beat Wilby Res 3-1 with goals from Andy McGukin, Darren Bryan and Ian Constable.

Weldon United A, with goals from Sean Fraser (2) and Austin Milne won 3-0 against Daventry Drayton Grange Res.
