WELDON SKIP HIRE PREMIER DIVISION KO CUP FINAL PREVIEW

Tuesday 6th May 2008 @ Sixfields Stadium KO 19:30hrs.

Adults: £ 4.00    Concessions: £ 2.00

Harpole V Moulton

With Harpole having won the double last year they had high hopes for this season too, they have already sewn up the league championship and are now seeking a back to back double, a great feat.   Out to stop them are Moulton, who have had a good season too finishing in the top five with some very good results behind them.   They are a strongly supported club with a good reserve side and plenty of potential to spoil the Harpole party, they are certainly not expecting to lose and will give a good account of themselves, Harpole are only too aware of this and will be taking nothing for granted.

WELDON SKIP HIRE PREMIER DIVISION

Harpole rounded of their league season with a convincing 5-2 victory over divisional runners-up Corby Madisons, Braces for Dan Surridge and James Sweeny were complimented by a goal from Tom Liversedge, Harpole are now looking forward to their league cup final next week against Moulton.

Moulton just beat Milton 2-1 with strikes from Craig Cassidy and Adie Redmond and have still got games remaining, but are unable to improve on their current league position so should be focussed on their cup final.

Sam Cooper was the only scorer in the game as Whitefield Norpol beat Heyford Athletic 1-0.

There was a goal fest in Division two as three games produced 25 goals and the league championship is still not decided, with Finedon And Punjab having completed their games last week two other teams could still win the title, this week it was the turn of Cold Ashby Rovers to got top with a 6-2 victory away from home at Wellingborough Ranelagh, hot their heals though are Wollaston Victoria who won 3-0 against Weedon, Lee Warman, Tom Betts and T Woods got the goals.   With two games in hand and six points up for grabs Vic know that only two wins will be enough, this one goes to the wire.
