Highgrade Motor Star Award:
This week sees Brixworth All Saints getting the nomination for their hard fought 3-3 draw with table topping Corby Pegasus

 

Weldon Skip Hire Premier Division

Pegasus top the table going into new year.

Brixworth All Saints entertained leaders Corby Pegasus; however, despite an entertaining six goal thriller Pegasus could only take the one point from the game, Tom Watkins, Adam Knight and Lee Saving scored for Brixworth as the game finished 3-3.   Milton are second following their 1-0 defeat of Whitefield Norpol courteousy of an own goal.  Kislingbury are fourth as a result of the point they earned against Ravensthorpe LB, Greg Ling and Tony O`Rielly got their goals and visiting strikes from Tony Bandy and Alex Bond rounded off the scoring 2-2.   Corby Madisons are third although they didn’t have a game.   Reigning champions, Harpole continued their winning form with a 3-0 triumph over Heyford Athletic; their goals came from Dan Surridge, Scott Mills and Owen Phillips.   In the other game of the division Moulton overcame Roade 2-0 thanks to Nick Worley and Chris Dickens being on target.

 


Russell Roofing Division One

Harborough Town finished the year in a convincing top spot in Division One, sponsored by Russell Roofing, in line with their aspirations, as they hammered James king Blisworth 4-1, Dan Wright, Andrew Wilson, Alex McMillan and Ashley Robinson got their goals.

Bective Wanderers have a brace for Sam Savage and a goal from Adam Bushell to thank as they beat Spratton 3-1 in a hard fought contest.

Medbourne hosted Wooton St George and Kevin Fisher (2) and Rob Thompson converted, Stuart McDermott and Chellwell got the goals for the visitors as the game finished 3-2.

Queen Eleanor Great Houghton were humbled at home 4-0 by Earls Barton United, the goals came from Nathan Spriggs (2), Callum Ward and Neil Baldwin.

Stanwick Rovers beat Welford Victoria with goals from Tony Simms and C Elwood 2-0.


Keystone Roofing Supplies Division Two

Burton United remained second ahead of Punjab United, despite their 4-1 home defeat.   Ben Williamson scored for the hosts, but Michael Logue, Andrew Cox, Hassan Mumin and Julian Millington converted for Punjab.

Finedon Volta consolidated their fourth place with a 3-0 defeat of Kettering Orchard Park; their goals came from Leigh Chapman (2) and Pete Jones.

Lee Wildman scored for Gretton in their home game against leaders Wollaston Victoria, but James Hudson and Charlie Pipe ensured that the visitors just edged it and remained top 2-1.

Jamie Fane and Alan Harrison scored for Islip United as they shared the points with Wilbarston 2-2.

Rushden Corner Flag went down 3-0 against a strong Cold Ashby Rangers, Tom Dunne and Ringer got the goals and an Own goal was the third.

Weedon hosted Ringstead Rangers, Matthew Ingram and Eddie Phelan were once more on the score sheet for Weedon, but Strikes for Gavin Wills(2), Tom Martin and Liam Bulmer saw Rangers go home with all the points 4-2.


 

Rothenberger Tools Division Three

Divisional leaders Corby Danesholme Vikings confirmed their ambitions once again with a 6-0 drubbing of West Haddon, a Paul Kelly hat-trick and efforts from David McIvor, David Martin and Steve Ennis gave them all three points.

Ristee Towers kept up their challenge for the title and with a game in hand they are by no means out of it, so their narrow 1-0 away victory over Dainite Sports will do them no harm.

Jed Brennan, Cosentino and Hawes scored as Daventry Drayton Grange were narrowly defeated by a visiting Wellingborough Old Grammarians 4-3.

In the other game of the division, Wellingborough Raffertys beat Wilby 5-2.

 

Division Four

The Corby domination of Division Four continued, Corby Eagles remain in second following their 9-2 thrashing of Thrapston AFC.

Corby Rockingham United were the only top five team not to win as they were put to the sword 5-1 by locals rivals Corby Leaf, the prolific Jamie Cairns got a hat-trick and Derek Stewart and Paul Braybrook added to it.

CSV United also won 5-1, beating Wellingborough WMC, a Steven Dodson hat-trick and a strike from Tim Allen helped them to victory.

Chris Mills scored for Kettering Park Rovers as they were beaten convincingly 4-1 by visiting division leaders Corby Strip Mills.

Tony Walker (3), Frank Shelley and Adam Mode, got the goals as Wellingborough Rising Sun battered Yardley United 5-0.

 

Duston Garage (Bosch Service) Reserve Premier Division

Bugbrooke St Michaels A were held 2-2 against Milton Res despite goals for Lee Wilson and Tony Ferrier.

A brace for Heyford Athletic Res` Anthony Payne and a brace for Harpole Res` Paul Emery saw this game almost finish even, but an own goal in favour of Heyford saw the game finish 3-2.

Conway got the only goal of the game as Kettering Nomads Res won 1-0 against Gretton Res.

Kieron Gleeson’s strike for O N Chenecks A was cancelled out by one a piece from Lewis Curtis and John Pender for James King Blisworth Res 2-1.

Thompson, Junior Campbell and Shaun Purcell scored as Corby Madisons Res got an away victory over Roade Res; Craig Pugh got the consolation 3-1.

Weldon United Res showed why they are top with a 6-0 mauling of in-form Moulton Res, the goals came from D Rogers (3), Jamie Konarczak, Chris Madden and Matty Hay.


Reserve Division One

Lee Mills got a hat-trick and Mark Faulkner rounded off the scoring as Harpole A humbled Queen Eleanor Great Houghton Res 4-0.

Harborough Town Res won 1-0 against Ringstead Rangers Res.

In a mid table contest Sean Conapo scored for Spratton Res as they were beaten 3-1 by Finedon Volta Res whose goals came from Jason Sumner and Neal Piggott (2).

Elsewhere Wollaston Victoria Res are second with a 4-0 thrashing of Corby Locomotives Res.

 

Reserve Division Two

Kettering Orchard Park Res lost 2-1 at home against Dainite Sports Res, Blane Chester scored for OP.

Weldon United A also lost at home, their goals coming from James Ferguson (2) and Ryan Clarke, however, a brace each for Darren Herbert and Jeff Mitchell saw Crick Athletic Res go home 4-3 victors.   Thus, with the top two losing, Welford Victoria Res are third, following their convincing 5-1 hammering of Wellingborough Old Grammarians Res.

Finally, in a close battle over the bottom spot Wilby Res narrowly bettered Weedon Res in a hard fought nine goal thriller, Wayne Dickens (2), Terry McDonald, David Yarnell and Scott Layland got the goals for Wilby as they won 5-4 and stayed off the bottom.
