Duston Garage Premier Division Corby Eagles took until the 42nd minute of the game to score against a resolute Kettering Nomads with Nomads keeper making some good saves, but had no chance with the first goal as it took a wicked deflection after that Nomads heads dropped and they scored two more before half time. The second period was all Corby Eagles and they scored four more making it 7-0 at full time. Eagles now 2nd placed with a game in hand. Corby S&L Khalsa found James King Blisworth too strong for them and lost out 3-0. Blisworth goals from: Andy Seaton x3. Earls Barton United held Brixworth All Saints to a 1-1 draw. Harpole and Gretton lying close in the league could not be separated after 90mins ending in a 1-1 stalemate. Bottom markers Stanion Redstar are still struggling to pick up any points after suffering a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Milton. Milton goals from: Maxwell Gray and Robert Turner. Stanion goal from: Daniel Partridge. Roade managed to overpower Ringstead Rangers and gain the three points after a 3-2 victory. Corby Locomotives desperate to gain some points and to get themselves away from the drop zone put up a good fight against Welford Victoria but Welford just edged the win a close 2-1. Duston Garage Division 1 Corby Pegasus couldn’t make home advantage count and were beaten 2-0 by Corby Grampian. Grampian goals from: Lee Genner and Jamie O’Neill. Lowly Corby Ravens could not get a grip on Weedon, losing out 4-0. Weedon goals from: Benjamin Drinkwater, Jordan Casey and Ashley Brown x2. Clipston travelled away to Kettering Orchard Park and made it worth their while coming away with a 2-0 win. Clipston goals from: Simon Barby and substitute Nicholas Blundell. 3rd place Wollaston Victoria underestimated 9th placed Medbourne and just lost out 3-2. Wollaston goals from: Martin Bale and Daryl Wallinger. Wootton St George held Daventry Drayton Grange to a well deserved 1-1 draw. Duston Garage Division 2 2nd placed Spratton gave league leaders Corby Shamrock  a reminder that they are not out of the battle for the title by winning 1-0 to put them 3 points behind but having played 4 more games. Stanwick Rovers who of late have been winning a few games failed to get a goal against vast improving Higham Town winning 2-0 to Higham. West Haddon Albion played host to Finedon Volta that turned out to be a very good game with the home side winning 4-3. The game ebbed and flowed from end to end. Duston Garage Division 3 Corby Strip Mills had a very good game against the visitors Yardley United with Yardley just coming out on top by 2-1. Inter Corby came up against the league leaders Desborough & Rothwell United and the leaders came away with a 6-1 win. Goals from: Geoff Butler x2, McCauley Thompson x2,  Carl Lambert and Matthew Bass. Irthlingborough Rangers gave 2nd placed Wellingborough Aztecs a good game although they went down 3-1 to the 2nd placed team. Wellingborough Aztecs goals from: Tom Whiting x2 and David Benbow. Kettering Ise Lodge who are going through a bad spell lost out to Corby Kingswood by 6-0. Kingswood Goals from: James Bates x2, Daniel Maia x2, Chris Cowell and David Murray. Corby United made the long trip to Northampton Obelisk and came home without any points in a very close game that Obelisk just won 2- 1. Wellingborough Gleneagles recovered after a slight slump in form and managed a good win over Northampton Mereway who are one point behind Gleneagles having both played same amount of games. Gleneagles goals from: Patrick Curran and Michael Davis. Duston Garage Reserve Premier Division Grampian Reserves played host to close neighbours Weldon United Reserves, the first half finishing 0-0 with both sides defending well. Second period saw Grampian take the lead but it was level again within 2 minutes when Weldon scored the game ebbed and flowed with both teams having chances, but it was Weldon Reserves that scored the winner in final 2 minutes. James King Blisworth Reserves kept their place at the top of the table with a 3-1 win over Bugbrooke ‘A’. The title is looking almost secure for Blisworth Reserves. Kettering Nomads Reserves could not make home advantage count when they entertained Moulton Reserves with the 5th placed side coming away with the 3 points. Ringstead Rangers Reserves played newly promoted Wollaston Victoria Reserves and the home side took the points with a 6-1 victory to keep them in mid table. Wollaston goal from: Gavin Wardell-Mellows. Duston Garage Reserve Division 1  Medbourne Reserves played host to Wilby Reserves and the home side managed to secure the win to keep them in mid table winning by 2-1. Weedon Reserves overcome Spratton Reserves by 2-1 to get themselves back on track after a bad slump in form. Weedon Reserves goals from: Matthew Farrell and Curtis Linderman. Weldon United A hosted local rivals Corby Pegasus Reserves and the hosts had a good day winning 6-1 to in the hunt for honours with games in hand on the teams above them. Duston Garage Reserve Division 2 Cup Daventry Drayton Grange came out on top against Corby Shamrock Reserves to put them into the League Cup Final by 4-0, with goals from: Scott Baxter x2 and Sub Ryhs Collins x2. Duston Garage Reserve Division 2 Desborough & Rothwell Reserves could not make home advantage count against West Haddon Reserves who put a dent into the Rothwell side’s title chance by winning 2-1. Duston Garage Star Award - West Haddon Albion Reserves for their away win over top of the table Desborough and United Rothwell Reserves. The local derby between Heyford Reserves and 2nd placed Bugbrooke ‘B’ went to the 2nd placed side by 4-0 to put them in with a shout of taking the title. Higham Town Reserves made home advantage count as they entertained Corby United Reserves winning 3-1 to keep them in mid table. Corby United goal from: Pedro Nabias.
