Match Report:
On what was a very hot day we welcomed 8 new players to the squad. We started the game as we had done in our previous games, fast pace, good passing and James Feasey took his goal extremely well on 10 minutes. Against the run of play we conceded a sloppy free kick which West Riding put away from 25 yards. After this West Riding got back into the game and it became a much more even, with their star player Ernest up front causing us some problems. Jimmy Reece started a great passing move which lead to Matty Coleman putting away, only to be flagged for a marginal offside. West Riding scored on the stroke of half time which saw us go in at half time 2 - 1 down.

We started the second half quite well but the opposition countered and scored their 3rd, which then saw us change formation. For the next 20 minutes we had the majority of the play but could quite work the keeper enough. West Ridings 4th was a 90th minute penalty. I think the scoreline flattered West Riding and was certainly not a reflection of the game but we have taken positives from the game.

Our concentration now moves tot he 4 counties league with a trip to Ramsey to play Peterborough.

Ben Thomas.
