Walgrave
Amber for becoming the first league side to reach a County Cup semi
final
NFA Area Cup 1/4 Final:
Walgrave’s home encounter with AFC Wymington was the only tie to go
ahead with the elements wrecking yet another weekend with a myriad of
postponements. The form book suggested that this would be a tough game
for the hosts and so it proved.
Wymington had scored fourteen times in the competition and there
forward line showed their prowess once again. Martin Taylor, Andy Wood
and Dave Wood all found the target for the visitors. Paul Linnell, Jamie
Jackson and Joe Gartland restored parity before Billy Ling grabbed the
decider for Walgrave. The two sides are scheduled to meet in February in
the semi-final of the League Cup competition.
Russell Roofing Premier Division:
The only game to go ahead saw Moulton move further clear of trouble with
1-0 win over Heyford.
Keystone Roofing Supplies Division 1:

Rothenberger Tools Division 2:
It’s a new year, but the same old story for Ristee who must be wondering
what exactly they have to do to secure a win this season. Robert
Thompson grabbed a superb hat-trick for Ristee, but Strip Mills ran out
4-3 winners. Matty
Gallagher and Shaun Lewis chipped in solo efforts to complement Danny
Ward’s brace.
Division 3:

Division 4:

Premier Division:
Kislingbury may rue their failure to win at home to Moulton. Darren Inns
scored Kislingbury’s goal in the 1-1 draw. The result moves them within
a point of leaders Weldon, but having played a game more.
Reserve Division 1:
No Games
Reserve Division 2:
It was a point apiece in the derby day clash between Stanwick and Islip.
Janis Cibulis and Jon Ogden scored for Stanwick and Lee Gowler and Phil
Wright netted for Islip. The spoils were also shared in the game between
Weedon and Spratton. Gavin Oliff netted twice, and there were goals for
Josh Bellamy and Lee Sargisson for the home side, but they failed to
kill off stubborn Spratton resistance and had to settle for a 4-4 draw.
