Spratton
Reserves who halted the Earls Barton Reserves steamroller.
Russell Roofing Premier Division:
Roade returned from a two week break to topple leaders Weldon at
Connelly Way. Andrew Priest and Jack Diamond both struck to hand the
long-term leaders a second defeat of the season. Kislingbury now lead,
with Brixworth second. Neither side could completely capitalise however,
as both were held to draws at home. Kislingbury tied 1-1 with bitter
rivals Harpole, while another late Harborough goal denied All Saints the
win. Adam Knight gave Brixworth a 3-2 lead with four minutes to go
before a last minute equaliser for the Leicestershire side.
Fourth placed Medbourne also needed a late goal to see off
Whitefield Norpol. Having led 2-0 at half-time, Medbourne were pegged
back by Connor Brown and Chris Kirby equalised on 72 minutes, but a
stoppage time strike sealed the 3-2 win.
Milton and Queen Eleanor recorded morale boosting wins over Heyford and
Corby Pegasus respectively. Dominic Spinelli netted the second in
Milton’s 2-0 success, while Bob Lane and Tom Burwood weighed in with
braces as Pegasus crashed 6-2. Andrew Cox opened the scoring for Corby
Khalsa as they recorded comfortable 4-1 win over Moulton.

margin. Spratton remain six points adrift after losing 2-1 to Earls
Barton.
Rothenberger Group Division 2:
George Donnelly’s brace in the Cup Final warm up between Burton and
Gretton ensured that his side remain top of the division, for the time
being at least. Corby Danesholme gave the leaders a statement of intent,
going nap against fellow Corby outfit Strip Mills in their first game in
a month. Paddy Daniels grabbed a brace and the irrepressible Dan
McShefferty a hat-trick as their opponents were swept aside. Deposed
leaders Clipston and Old Grammarians played out a drab goalless draw.
Matt Farrell and Gavin Saunders grabbed the goals that saw Weedon home
to their maiden win of the season, a 2-1 success over Ranelagh. Doubles
from Jason Lee and Jake Wesby failed to give Islip all three points as
they drew 4-4 with Great Doddington. Kane Robinson scored the only goal
of the day as Wollaston went down 1-0 to Orchard Park.
Division 3:
Darren Burt’s unprecedented double hat-trick ripped the heart out of
Hillmorton to send Corby Eagles second with an 8-0 victory. Tyler
Amphlett rescued a point for Rising Sun in their derby-day clash with
Wellingborough WMC. The other all Wellingborough affair between the
Saxons and Wilby, ended 5-2 in favour of the hosts. Liam Swane grabbed
two of the goals. Dan White secured the win for Area Cup finalists
Everards over rivals Locomotives 3-2. Dainite recorded a much needed 4-2
with over basement buddies Crick to move level on points.

Higham Dragons 4-3. Andy Wood scored the winner for AFC Wymington over
Finedon Kennedys, to ensure that they stayed in touch. Daniel Drury

overcame FC Higham 2-0. Stephen Skinner got the winner for Kingswood who
leapfrogged Kettering Park Rovers with a 2-1 success. Dan Oates double
helped Yardley to a 4-2 win over CSV, while Richard Tate opened the
scoring for Walgrave who romped to a 4-1 success over Corby Talisman.

Premier Division:
Adam Jackson’s brace for Whitefield was not enough as they were held to
a 2-2 draw by ON Chenecks. Weldon took full advantage defeating Harpole
3-1 to move top on goal difference. Barnes Gladman opened Harborough’s
account as they heaped yet more misery on Kislingbury, whose descent
into freefall continues after a 2-0 defeat. Corby Pegasus moved clear of
trouble with an invaluable 3-2 win over Bugbrooke ‘A’. Milton meanwhile
crashed 4-0 at Kettering Nomads. Tom Blaine grabbed a treble for the
home side. Moulton and Khalsa drew the second part of their clubs double
header 1-1. Roade defeated Gretton 1-0.

the top two. Orchard Park defeated Wollaston 4-0, while Brixworth
defeated Heyford 4-2. Lawrence McCall grabbed two of the goals as

inside 30 minutes of the first half, as Blisworth cruised to a 4-0 win
away at Corby Locos.
Ringstead continued their mini-revival, improving their goal difference
with a 4-2 win over Finedon Volta. Ant Lammond netted the winner as
Weldon ‘A’ narrowly defeated Wootton St George 3-2. A fine day for Queen
Eleanor as they defeated cellar-dwellers Bugbrooke ‘B’ 3-2 on their own
patch.

recorded their first victory in month, and inflicted the league leader’s
first defeat of the season 3-2. Weedon closed the gap to a mere sixteen

to the bottom on four points apiece after respective defeats. Dainite
